Windows down, music up!

Last week, during Spring Break, I made my spring music playlist. It is titled Windows down, music up! (This reminds me to roll the car windows down and enjoy the spring weather, although spring in Texas only lasts about a week, and ended four days ago.) I have since copied it to two CDs, which I have placed in our cars. Here is the contents of the list:

Life's a Happy Song - The Muppets soundtrack
Shine On - Rascal Flatts
Love You Out Loud - Rascal Flatts
Dry County Girl - Rascal Flatts
A Thing Called Love - Elvis Presley (Heather disagrees, but I this this version is better than Freddie Mercury)
Fallin' for You - Colbie Caillat
Crazy for This Girl - Evan and Jaron
Kiss Me - Sixpence None the Richer
Can You Feel the Love Tonight - Elton John
(Up to this point the playlist has gotten as sappy as spring can be, so we renew the fun times with...)
Waiting On the World to Change - John Mayer
My Stupid Mouth - John Mayer
No Such Thing - John Mayer
Pinch Me - Barenaked Ladies
Landslide (acoustic version) - Fleetwood Mac
Wildwood Flower - Originally by the Carter family, but this version is sung by Reese Witherspoon from the Walk the Line soundtrack
Rocket Man - Elton John
Mrs. Robinson - Simon and Garfunkle
Smoothie Song - Nickel Creek
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2
Lil' Jack Slade - Dixie Chicks
Somewhere Over the Rainbow - Judy Garland
Rainbow Connection - The Muppets

What is on your spring music playlist?

  1. Mine is a lot of Bruno Mars. For some reason I love singing along with his catchy tunes.

    I also have:
    "I won't give up" - Jason Mraz
"If it kills me" - Jason Mraz
    "Your Song"- Elton John
"The Show Must Go On" - Queen
"I like It" - Enrique Iglesias (that's right, I went there)

And of course, my 2 Muppet songs: Man or Muppet, and Life's a Happy Song
